633 O2,Oil warning lightzimhunter 07-04-2004, 04:12 PM Leaving church this morning the O2 sensor light and the oil light both came on. Went out then flickered on and off. After stopping and checking oil and restarting engine they both came on and stayed on. I drove on home (approx 4 miles). Engine temp normal and performance without any other problems was normal. This is a 633CSi with 61000 miles on it. Automatic Trans with no real problems except cruise control. Any ideas where to start would be appreciated. Antiburn 07-04-2004, 07:49 PM CHange the oil and maybe your O2 sensor wire got disconnected from it. Other then that might be a electrical short. Whens the last time you changed your oil? And if you did yet the last time you did your O2 sensor? jeffreyb4me 07-08-2004, 08:59 PM replace the oil pressure switch. the O2 sensor reminder lamp is 'wired' to this circuit for bulb testing reasons when you start the car, which is why they come on 'together'. the O.P. switch fails, grounding the circuit, turning both lamps on......jb. zimhunter 07-10-2004, 05:30 PM replace the oil pressure switch. the O2 sensor reminder lamp is 'wired' to this circuit for bulb testing reasons when you start the car, which is why they come on 'together'. the O.P. switch fails, grounding the circuit, turning both lamps on......jb. Actually it turns out it's the ignition switch. The 2 warning lights come on when switch is turned on and the switch intermittently cuts off but not enough to kill engine. Probably a weak spring thing or such. Same kind of problem with cruise. It's a bad brake switch. These 6's are definitely loaded with switches. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
