Someone posted about the electric door locks not working sometimes and then they just went nuts. This happened to us a while ago and the problem seemed to resolve itself.

Tonight, for no apparent reason, the check engine light turned on and the electrical system really went nuts. When we try to lock the door on the driver side at the door switch, the horn goes off (we don't have alarm). When we use the key fob, the front passenger lock switch buzzes.

Any ideas?

Look at the routing for your wires, check to see if any of them have chaffed, and are grounding out. Also look at your charge system.

Thanks. I was leaning toward grounded wires as a cause for the problem. The dealer found the remote keyless entry module was bad and they replaced it. All seems OK after 4 days. I just hope the bad module wasn't caused by shorted wires which haven't been found or fixed yet. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
