97 Civic Door Lock Actuator placement???

Hello...I'm tryin to put an alarm in my car...Its a 2 dr 97 Civic DX. Got the Viper alarm in and tryin to put the door lock actuators in the doors. Can't figure out where the best place to mount em is??...I tried a search to see where the stock location is on the net but came up confused.....Thanks for any help in advance......

Truthfully, as I've taken civic doors apart more times than I car to admit, and your best call is to just take the door apart and take a look. I would say further back and above the window regulator arm, but....I'm not sure what wires/sensors/hardware the alarm is.

The door panels are easy to remove. Need a philips head, a 1 inch wide 10 inch long piece of rag and 15 minutes. Use the rag to remove the window crank arm (if you have one). Find the opening of the "omega" clip ring that holds on the crank, slip the rag between the crank and the door, and work it back and forth to pop the clip out of place. Works well to get it back on too.

the front bottom of the door is also free of alot of stuff, behind the speaker, though you run the risk of water.

Thanks for the comeback Wheel....I used to do this for extra $$ when I was a kid but can't remember where things go.....Here is the door and actuator....Should I put it on top of the white plastic thing?......Also...Do I need to drill a new hole to get the wires through the door jamb?....There is a plastic piece in there and no space to fit another 2 wires......Thanks

try to mount the piece to the right and slightly down from the white plastic piece. you should have room there free from the regulator arm, but its tough to tell the size of the alarm piece.

also, you can fit 2 more wires through the door. its a bitch, but it will fit. There is a plastic harness that mates through the door, it has one large clip that holds it together. Pop that apart, and all that insulates the wires is a rubber tube and some electrical tape. take that apart and run your wires through. I know you can do this cause I ran wires for power locks and windows through mine (I installed OEM power L/W in my old VX, which is why I have had the door apart more than I care to admit.

another good place to mount would be near the very bottom of the door, towards the inside of the door, in the middle, or towards the back. I do believe there are already some holes there, prevent drilling, and may be out of the way of the regulator arm.
