disappointed in my cavperna00 06-30-2004, 08:42 PM i just went out on sunday to an old drag strip. they charge $5 and you can race whoever as much as you want. to my dissatisfaction i did worse than i thought. i have a 96' with a 2.4. it has a full exhaust (header back), underdrive pulley, intake, fuel/air module, shift+ kit (it's a 4 speed automatic) and many other small mods. i lost against every other cavalier there. i'm talking 2nd generation, 3rd generation, brand new, about 6 different ones i know exactly how to launch and had no problems but i still lost. my car has 100k on it. i think i might need to just rebuild my engine. there's no way my car should be getting beat this bad with all the time and $ i have into it. i know my compression readings are between 110-130. any ideas what i should do. oh, btw, i've replaced almost every sensor and ALL parts that deal with fuel, air, and spark studballs 06-30-2004, 11:35 PM get rid of that fuel air module...with those mods you should be running mid 15's -Jayson- 07-01-2004, 12:18 AM no it should be low 15's, my stock Z24 2.4L Auto can run high 15's stock. perna00 07-02-2004, 11:35 PM never mind, car just got totalled today, anyone want parts? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
