i am getting ready to do the auto to manual tranny swap. and i want the least amount of things to go wrong. i know that the ecu's are different between the two trannys. what would be the best way to go, mod my auto ecu or get a manual ecu? if it would be best to get the manual ecu, then which one should i get? i have a 95 ex with the d16z6 and the tranny is from a 96 ex with the d16y8.

all info is needed.

thanks

you'll want to get the p28 manual ECU. Because it's obd1, the same as your motor and will be less of a problem then having to convert to obd2 if you got an ecu for the d16y8 (P2P I believe).
