I received a ticket for an HOV (2 or more people only) violation in Cobb Co., GA as I was entering the Interstate from an HOV entrance lane. There was little traffic (and nobody in the HOV lane) and I immediately pulled over into the normal lanes without encountering any traffic. What are the usual fines for this and is this something that judges usually dismiss?

In California, carpool lane violations are around $220. Unless you get a REALLY nice judge, I wouldn't count on it being dismissed.

wow..which part of CA you live in? Here in the S.F. Bay Area the fine is $271

In South Florida, I think it's $100 fine or something, and basically 4-5 hours class, you can also take it online. If you take the class, they void cutting any points.
