It's time..jeenyus 06-29-2004, 04:08 AM Alright so.. I'm not sure how often I've posted here but I've lurked quite a few times since I picked up my 95 dx coupe in August '03 .. my original plan was to save up for a swap, but after a couple of speeding tickets and general expenses of living I'm going against that; it's just too expensive and unnecessary.. for now :) (it's still something I desire, in the future we will see what happens). Anyways I have saved up a bit of cash recently and have decided to finally get down to makin some minor modifications to my car, and I'm here looking for recommendations on brands, what kinda prices I should be lookin to pay, and a couple other things. What I want to start out with is suspension, rims with rubber, and tint.. and oh a tach would be nice.. I like the JDM SiR gauge cluster, but I may settle for whatever I can grab from the junk yard depending. In terms of suspension I'm pretty ignorant.. I wanna drop my car some.. what's a good amount, and on what? Combined with some 16 or 17" rims with ..what size tires? I want to keep the speedometer accurate and have as small a wheel gap as is reasonable. Then the tint.. well what looks good and is still legal in Ontario? jeenyus 06-29-2004, 11:01 PM Well.. no one has replied so to make things short.. 1. suspension .. what's a good setup? 2. 16 or 17s.. what size tires do i want? 3. tint.. what looks good/cops wont bother you? Depends if you want to adjust your ride height (coilovers). Personally I'm saving for struts and springs. What is your budget? 2. I'd go with 16's, I've read that larger rims cause your car to have a rough ride. 3. Not really sure. I think I have 35% and it looks pretty good jeenyus 06-30-2004, 01:53 AM Yeah I have been reading up and I'm gonna go with 16"s with some 205/40s.. does that sound right? For the suspension I've seen nothing buy praise Tein SS springs so that's one of my top picks so far .. what's a ride like with just springs on stock shocks? kicker1_solo 06-30-2004, 01:56 AM what's a ride like with just springs on stock shocks? it's alright....until you blow your stock shocks which will happen. emerge 06-30-2004, 02:57 AM 1. coilovers (w/ shocks) dropped 2" 2. 16's 3. depends on your tint laws (my windows are 6% because we just dropped our tint law) Jetts 06-30-2004, 02:59 AM limo tint fuck cops vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
