welp, my engine is pooped. Burnt bearing. So, here's the short side, of a long story: Why spend a pile of cash to rebuild a D16Y7? Not gonna. And on the same token, I don't have the money for a b18c (lets face it, if you're gonna swap for balls, b18 or h22 is what you use...) so, anyone out there have a:

D16z7 or D16z6

that they have set aside in favor of a DOHC engine? If so...I'm interested. I need a full swap...all the fixens. Or even if you can put me in touch with someone, or some place, that is selling one, decent condition, start up gurantee, etc. I need it to be reliable, it's going into a daily driver that I am still making payments on, hence, not getting a b18 from hmotorsonline.

its d16y8 for ur gen and 5th gen is d16z6. theres no such thing as z7

A d16z7 is found in 1996-2000 Civic EXs. I assure you it exists.

my buddie has a real sweet d16z6/d16a6 mini me he was sellen its worked he had it in a crx .... he has a few 13 sec . slips wit a 75 shot zex motor is sweet but he likes his b18a a little better and he has a rev hard kit 4 his b18 and boosted is better but its a complete drive line wit a vafc by apex and the motor has all kinds of goodies /valves,cam,integra d16 pistons ,ported head , cam gear ,fpr i dont know its got all kinds of stuff but he was asking 1500.00 4 the drive line wit a zc 5 speed also included turn key motor,ecu, a zc trans,a usdm 5 speed trans ,axles, linkage,everything

hmmmm....that book I sighted is where Im getting the D16z7 from....hmmmmm, have to chech this out at some greater length....

yeah, RIP is right, my mistake, I should have followed up, I bought a replacement d16y7 for cheap from a buddy of civic91HB and had it installed a few weeks ago.
