hey guys I have a small prob maybe u guys could help me with. I've had my car for about a year now, bought it brand new but every once in awhile my car, under the stero will start to rattle. Like I'll go over a bump and here it and it gets louder as I go over a bumpier road. The radio doesnt have to be on either and the rattling will continue even after I've gone over all bumps and returned to a smooth surface. I literally have to smack the side of the stero (the dash part near the cup holders) and it will most of the time stop. I've had 2 guys look at this but both times they couldnt here anything, it figures it stops just long enough for them not to hear it.

any ideas?

thanks

what i think it is is that it is loose enough so that when u go over a bump it will jump a little. try tighting it if that doesnt work try getting some new speakers.

It's a rattle though, like it sounds like I dunno, its tuff to explain, I dont think its my speakers, nothing else seems bad on them like no other vibrations or anything.

I cant seem to tighten it anyway, I felt around down there and think I came across a screw or sumthing but the space is to small to attempt to tighten it.

I'm assuming its a factory radio. If so just take the dash apart and see what it is. Factory radios sit in there pretty tight so I dought that's the problem. But maybe the antenna wire hitting something or the harness itself. If you take the dash apart it should show itself to you. Good luck

All right this may sound pretty retarded to all you car buff's, mind you I never knew anything about cars till I bought mine and I still have a shit-load and then some to learn but....how do I take the dash apart? Is it a long/hard job or quick and easy?

Thank you
