S15 "Legalization"DragonPrynce 06-24-2004, 12:21 AM Okay, most of you that live in the states know that it's a b*tch to import an S15 here. After reading several past threads that some of you put up I've been able to tell myself that your best bet is "fooling" registration. A couple threads back, I read that you can do a vin switch with a damaged 240sx and hope that a cop won't know the difference between an S14 and an S15. Personally, I don't really like the S15 tail lights anyway so after putting in a not-so-considerable amount of money, could I change the tail lights to an S14 and have it further "faked"? What do you guys think? gabe S15 06-24-2004, 12:34 PM that's the worst idea ever and it would be a ridiculous amount of body work to change the tail lights. PapoSwing 06-26-2004, 10:03 AM IS there anyway of "Legally" doing this? Would they even let you drive the car out of the Ship when it arrives? It does suck that we can't easily attain this cars at relatively low prices, but I mean you run a big gamble by running around with illegal cars. I read in a thread I posted about importing the S15 that RB Motoring is looking into legalizing the S15. Maybe this is what we're looking for but at the same time it moght not be. thegladhatter 06-27-2004, 06:38 AM It would be prohibitively expensive. It is a nice car but nice nice enough to warrant the expense. Just "S15-ize" an S14, or make an S15 Sileighty. Cheaper...and they both are improved in the looks department. The Zenki S14 is ugly and the 180/240 popups are awful. The S13 and S15 Silvia fronts own! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
