I think 350z is like 14.3, Thats very fast for a stock car. An S13 will need consideribly more than an SR20 at stock boost to even out with the 350z.

i wouldn't consider that fast for a stock car... sorry there are stock cobra's that run 12's ... 14's is "quick" but far from fast...

The fastest stock cobra I've ever heard of ran a 13.8 What are corvettes? 13.5-13.3 I've always considered a stock car that runs under 15.0 to be fast, I'm VERY conservitive with 1/4 mile times though.

I've never seen a 240sx/SR20 at the drags so I wouldn't know any better. But I never would have expected it would speed the 240 from 16.1 down to 14.1. When I wanted an SR I would have expected it to take me to like 15.3 =)

SVT Cobras aren't stock they are modified by, surprise, SVT!

It comes from Ford with a rated 390hp... its stock. Once you yourself modify the engine, then its not stock.

stock cobras run high 13s, not 12's. And 350z's can get low 14s in 1/4 mile, I think the best time I've seen was like high 13s, but I didn't see a timeslip for that so I don't know if it was legit or not

Offhand, I'd give the edge to the Z. But it really could be a driver's race. Who knows? I think the S15 isn't too far off from the Z's performance levels, at least in 0-60.

The only thing an S13 with has going for it is nimbleness... I believe the Z would win in a straight. I say: TAKE IT TO THE TWISTIES! That could be interesting...

i saw a best motoring video of a type r beating a s14 silvia with 220hp, and the silvia got somewhere around 14.9. the s13 weights less, but it also has less power, and i highly doubt it can do low 14s. stock everything, like in japan, should get it into high 14s, but here, people usually get aftermarket exhaust, intake, and other things when they do the swap, so its gonna be quicker.

there's no doubt its a nice car. it just doesnt feel like a racecar to me. i drove my friends 300whp s14 and it felt like my maxima. no offense to the maxima because it was a great car, but i want it to feel like a racecar.

lol yea same here, a lot of s13's i've seen driven around are usually spanish guys also in their 40s-50s. Most s14's i've seen driving (not many b/c they are rare) are teenagers. The occasional koukis though I've seen were driven by 40 year olds, but whatever all sorts of people drive every car. Stupid to generalize a certain to a certain market, and to say the s13 is hardcore and s14 is not is just totally dumb.

And besides, people modify all kinds of family cars like Maximas, Accords and Camrys

That was one journalists opinion, the 360 modena has more refined lines, thats cuz boxy looking cars are overated, it is all about aerodynamics and sleek design. So now are you going to say the S15 is meant for the baby boomers??? all that was changed in the body were the rear tail l;ights, and the front facia. I like my S14, it is sleek, and so is the R33 and the R34. Buy what you want or what you can afford.

I know. You don't see someone supporting the KA everyday. I have seen quite a few on here lately. Its finally known that the KA is a lot cheaper than the SR and just as fast. All you need is knowledge.

the rb maybe cheaper and some say is a little more powerful, but the sr has got way more aftermarket parts that u can get with ease. If i could i would get the rb, but i hear that there is quite a bit of work ur gonna have to do to actually make it work in a s13.

can anybody tell me what do u do to get the s15 conversion to fit properly? i know, that u can buy the whole pack for like 1500-2000, if u guys know any cheaper place, let me know.... but anyways, i know that it comes with the hood, front bumper, fenders, and lights, BUUUUUUUUT, if u have flip up head lights, how r u gonna install the S15 lights?
