Does anybody know how to read the tension marks on the automatic
tensioner ? How can you tell if the belt you installed is to tight or to loose ?

There should be some slack, usually not more than a quarter inch, in the belt when it is properly installed. If it does not move at all then it is too tight and the belt may be the wrong size. Usually there really isn't any way to check the new tensioners as they are spring loaded. If there is not enough tension then the belt will fly off easily.
