I got to drive tacoma man's SS yesterday, it was so fast, i was so scared. I green horned 5 times trying to pull out. im just learning to drive a standard, he was very patient with me though, i did over rev
the engine and drop the clutch when i shifted to second gear

Man, Who cares how they made power, the new cobra/mach1's are BADDDASSS! Besides, you have to give ford credit for standing behind their perfomace lineup. Unlinke GM who dropped their pretty much only affordable fast car and comes out with crap like the GTO (Well it is not crap but the price tag is!!) where you have to be on the verge of retirement and making 80k a year to afford and not make HUGE lifestyle sacrifices. Also GM has done their fair share of false advertising. In all the magazines and such. When a high profile magazine would ask for a mustang and a camaro to do a comparison test, ford would deliver on the spot and GM would always take 3 weeks for them to get the car to the editor. The z28's would always barely egde out the LX 5.0's but if you went to the track, the 5.0's were eating the f-bodies for lunch and dinner. Im not trying to bad mouth the f-bodies. (I have been here long enough for most of you to know that) Also back with the Tri power GTO came out their was a magizine that raced the GTO agenst some Ferreri. Well the GTO won the race, ever since then their has been speculatioin if that GTO was accually a STOCK car that you could buy at the dealer. Well It was just recently admited that the GTO had a lager engine (I can't remember the size ill look at the article when I get home) it also had bigger carbs and a better cam. Ford has also done the same thing when car and driver did the lightining vs. the vette. They got the vette in one day, it took for about 2 weeks for them to give C&D the lightining. This is the reason I don't use magazines as a reference

I live in a small town in texas and use to have to drive about a hour and a half to the strip but some one had a bright idea to open there old private airstrip about 10 minutes away into a nice drag strip. But I guess if you have the money to have your own private airstrip you have the money to put into making it a hell of a drag strip.

My dad keeps trying to get me to sell mine, he doesn't think it's worth the effort or the gas mileage, but I LOVE my IROC! You don't know how many times I've been pulled over so the cops could check it out and how many offers I've had on it. But I WON'T sell!! :grinno:

It was good, but I sat on the lawn which is where you will find the biggest congregation of white trash ever. It kind of sucks because those people only want to see Ozzy and don't care if you are trying to enjoy the other bands. But it was good. I went a couple of weeks ago and saw A Perfect Circle in concert. Kick ass.

Ozzfest starts July 10 I think (or maybe 12th). I know Judas Priest, Slayer, and Superjoint Ritual (Phil Anselmo of Pantera's new band) are playing, but other than that, I don't know.

Oh, and anything by Pantera makes for good PO'd driving music. I also kind of like Du Hast by Rammstein. :ylsuper:
