Do beetle have VIN# sticker on the door?

Hi, recently I am helping my fd to look at beetle cars.
I am driving accord and in my accord, every door would have a sticker with the car's VIN# on it. But yesterday when we look at the beetle, we couldn't find any sticker with the VIN# on the doors, and neither in the trunk.

I check on the carfax report on the car and there is no accident, so I wonder that if beetle have this kind of sticker.

Sorry for my poor English, hope someone could answer my question. =)

None of my bugs every had door stickers. Only a tag w/ the vin on the dash and I think its stamped in the frame tube (can't remember about the tube..)
Good luck:)

'69 and up have them on a plate on the dash, in addition to the hump under the back seat.

For some early bugs, there's also a plate with the VIN on it in the front trunk, in the spare tire well.

Maybe some of the late '70s Bugs had them on the door frames. But don't rely 100% on any VINs, other than on the frame. The way bodys and frames have been swapped over the years, there may be late bodies on early frames and vice-versa.

My 72 Super has a sticker on the drivers door frame just under the latch stricker. Clark
