every other time when i had my fluids changed it was all done under gm and yesterday i changed the sc oil myself for the first time since my car is out or warranty and the service contract was up. anyways the i cyphoned it out and it was a light golden brown color like fresh honey, but when i put 8oz of oil back into it was a clear color with a light tan tint, does the sc burn the oil that bad?

I just replaced the coupler in my snout and the oil was almost black, pretty dark anyway. 85k on the blower

Changed mine several weeks back. Not only was it significantly darker, but was only able to extract about 4 oz of the normal 8oz capacity.

No. It was either low from the factory or, as with other lubricants, some was consumed by the parts it was lubricating.
