Anyone placed a Pre-order?swen 01-24-2002, 01:20 PM Just wondering if any of you have approached a dealer with the Nissan pre-order plan. Does the gouging start there, or is it possible that they have some rules with all the pricing disclosure? LowFuel 01-24-2002, 01:58 PM Yes, I placed an order with Courtesy Nissan in Texas, although I live in San Diego. I went with them because of two reasons: 1. They guarantee no dealer mark up. MSRP is what you pay, period. I've already talked to another guy who's dealer charged him 2995.00 over MSRP, non-negotiable. 2. They guarantee a full refund of my deposit right up to the day I pick up the car, should I change my mind. So far they've been great to deal with. But I should note that they are no longer taking pre-orders. rlamou 01-26-2002, 06:16 PM Yup, placed a pre-order just today. Dealer (near Portland, OR) wanted $5K over MSRP, but I explained it would be MSRP, or nada. Spent the obligitory 20 minutes on games play, then they agreed. They weren't happy. I'm locked in for a Silverstone Performance model. Told me that 5 (now 6) of the 10 coming were pre-sold. Ric AznAlby 01-28-2002, 05:51 AM I would be just a little iffy about commiting to car for which I don't even have exact specs for yet.... targeted 280+ hp can mean anything. Still, I like the exterior design of the new Z.... interior is not so great but you can't expect too much out of a -30k car. LowFuel 01-28-2002, 01:36 PM ...thus the whole comment about making sure the deposit was refundable. :) simo15 02-12-2002, 11:02 PM Just preordered mine today...cant wait:flash: vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
