HI to all!
I ordered a cone filter , the RE-0920 from PFYC, 9 by 31/2 inches, I am thinking I will connect the cone filter to the part that has the screen in it after the IAT sensor. The part that has the screen in it also houses some other sensor ? not sure but the cone setup I am making will sit about where the stock air box was, and not down the fenderwell. Is this a mistake, should I go down the fenderwell, what would be the difference in HP?
Thanks,
Robert

That filter should work great. The MAF piece is expensive to replace so be careful with it and the sensors inside.

Are you using the stock F-duct to the MAF piece?

Ther ehave been plenty of guys running good times withan open cone setup. But keep in mind they take their headlights out and have the car pretty cold compared to driving in traffic on a hot day, when they run.

You might want to consider adding some tubing from the MAF piece leading down into the Fenderwell to the cone.

You can get the cone in the fenderwell through the headlight gap and intense-racing.com sells flexable 3.5" tubing for relatively cheap.

All you would need is 1.5-2ft of tubing and two hose clamps. This setup will lower your IAT temps.

This is what I am describing:

good luck!
