Rear Hatch does not stay open

whats the best way to replave the hinges back here i do not see any way to take them off ?

do you need to replace the hinges or just the support struts? the struts are hydraulic and are what opens / holds open the rear hatch... replacements can be had at Checker or AutoZone (i had to replace the ones on my 96 JGC a year ago after the hatch wouldn't stay open any more)... btw, it help to have a friend hold the hatch up while you bolt the new struts in (the hatch is surprisingly heavy!)...

sure is HEAVY ! it is the struts ... but where do they bolt off form ? do i need to take the inner "molding off" ?
I to have a 96 JGC...

unbolt the top brackets, then you should be able to twist the strut off from the ball joint at the bottom of the strut (pops off) - i think i remember a clip there that i popped off first... no you don't have to remove any panels... oh, an instructions also come with the lift itself...
