2000 Venture fails to restart on hot days

During hot weather, and after driving over 50 miles, my Venture will not restart until it sits overnight. The engine turns over, but it is like there is no fuel getting through. The problem is intermittent and the dealer doesn't have a solution.

Welcome to my world, my 98 does the same thing. I have been to a mechanic over and over, everytime it never does it for them.

We're having the same type problem with our 2000 Venture...not even on hot days. Sometimes it starts right up....other times, no such luck. Also has died when running. Starts to run rough and then dies. Changed the Ignition module and 3 coils today and nothing helped. Still didn't start. Then we pushed down on the EVAP valve and then let up and it started right up. Mechanic thought it was vapor locked. BUT...then once we shut it off, after driving it awhile...it wouldn't restart. We tried the vapor lock trick...NO GO. Then we pulled the vacuum hose off of ??? and it started up. Any ideas??

Where is the EVAP valve located? Which vacuum hose?

Thanks

I've never been on line before for anythng like this. My Car bought brand new . I have had nothing but probelms. Guess what My car gets hot and won't start 5x later in the dealership and they still cant find the problem and they are mad at me for rental car cost. I have had problems from the beginning, tempeture, air conditioning, radiator, and over and over again my car not starting when it's hot and when I have to pick the kids up from school They now think for the 2nd time its the anti-theft. guess what after 5 time probally not. Should'nt there be more action taken that just writing on line? Why do we go for this after we spend 40K for a car that was to make our kids safe?????????? And I get grief for spending their money on a rental. Its not working that or the other.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,they have not clue!!!!!!!!!!!!! You know what, someone need to get a clue and we need and overhaul.
