i looked in the haynes book and it didnt make since it said there was a filler/level plug and the only thing that resembles a plug besides the drain plug is only about a 1/4 inch round it would take 3 days to fill it up there

The fill plug is located behind the drivers side axle, just about level with the center of the axle. When the plug is removed the fill hole is about 3/4 of an inch.

And its a bitch to fill. It took me about 30 min. to put in about 2.5 quarts.

It helps if you warm the oil up before you stick the hose on the bottle. I personally put my un-opened bottles of 75w90 in the sink, when it's full of steaming hot water, to warm the oil. Let the bottles soak for about 20 minutes. Then it will be sooooo much easier to squeeze the 2.5 qt's needed to fill the tranny. Oh, and drain the transmission completely before you fill it.
