Howdy all...

have a Jeep thats being a true pain in the rump...

its a 94 Jeeep Grand Cherokee, with the 6 cylender engine. it idles fine, but when you rev it up it gets to about 4k, and bogs down badly. seems like it is missing, or maybee flooding out, but its hard to tell. if i leave it there, it will slowly work its way back down to around 3k, and smooth out, then i can kick it back to 4k, and on the way back up, it starts bogging down around 3500 and seems like it it is going to die... but then it drops slowly down again, and smooths out. i am not really sure where to go with this, as im figureing it could be the wires, cap - rotor, or... could be the fuel filter... or could be some sensor that went bad. i just honestly cant afford to shotgun this, and i was hopeing someone might have a general idea what might be going on.

thank you in advance :)

i assume you mean the catalytic converter? havent tried that, but will give it a shot.. one thing i neglected to mention...

it does nto smoke when it is bogging down, but i do get a strong smell of gas, like its flooding or something.
