I can not open 1998 Ford Expedition rear door from the inside.
Child locks are in the unlock position. I have seen similar problem entries on the Explorer models but the description does not fit the Expedition models. I agree that there may be a plastic part broken but I don't see it being the Handle Assembly as it seems to be merely a leaver to push that rod into the latch assembly.

It seems to me that the problem is the latch assembly not the handle.
Anyone know for sure that the Expedition door latch is different from the Explorer models?

I know they're pretty much the same set-up, but i don't know if that's always the case...the guy that'll know that for sure is the parts manager at the local dealership cuz they can actually pull up a diagram of it.

If he can't help you, the service manager/shop foreman should be able to tell you.
