I plan to buy the BMW OEM car alarm system and install it myself.. I did some research and found that you have to do 2 things:

1. Install the alarm
-- Has anyone installed the alarm?
-- Are the instructions clear?
-- Is it easy?

2. Have the dealer do some programming
-- Does it affect the warranty?
-- How much does the dealer charge for programming?

Am I missing something ?
