I just bought this car about 3 weeks ago and noticed the car would sometimes not start until I jiggled the shifer. This wasnt really that big of a problem until a simple stereo was put into the car. Now the stereo works but the car wont start. A new neutral safety switch was installed and still nothing. Im wondering if there was some kind of security feature on the stock tape deck? There is also an amplifier in the left of the trunk, does this amp have anything to do with the starting of the car? I also would like to know if anyone out there has any kind of schematic for this model. A diagram of the relays and switches would get me started. I know I have a mess, any help is appreciated!

Does your car have a security system? If so you could possibly have a wiring short somewhere - especially if it's after market.

Also check your ignition switch.

Does the vehicle crank but won't start,if it does not crank it could be a dodgy ignition feed wire to the s/motor solonoid which when powered up allows full power from the battery to the s/motor,they can get corroded,also check main earths from battery to chassis.
