Interior LightsTomas3838 06-13-2004, 03:47 PM Ok i was putting some interior neons in my car (i was bored). my car is auto so i cut the little light the lights up the P, N, D, 3 etc. for a source of power so that at night when i turn the headlights on, the inteior ones go on too. Well it worked great, but now this morning when i turn my headlights on no power goes to the int. lights AND my dashboard doesnt light up either. The clock also doesnt dim down like it usually does when the head lights are on. Any ideas on what i my have done and how to fix it would be greatly appreciated Diesel2NR 06-13-2004, 04:10 PM well, now you've got a power problem of some sort. A fuse has blown or something. I would have wired them to a separate switch. As for what you should do, if it worked before, everything must've been hooked up ok then. I'd check all of your connections and truthfully, undo what you did. You may have blown a fuse, had a connection come loose, or shorted out a wire somewhere by pulling too much through it. Other than that, I have no idea. freakray 06-13-2004, 04:26 PM The '03 Impreza has running lights, whenever the car is in motion the headlights come on. As John said, it would have made sense to wire them to a separate switch, what made you cut a wire to an actual circuit to wire them in? Tomas3838 06-13-2004, 09:42 PM its all good guys thanks for the input. i blew the fuse, and as for why i cut that light i have no idea i was tired. word of advise, dont cut random wires, it is not good for your impreza. Haha anyway over all it was good cause i learned what a blown fuse looked like and now i know how to fix one in the future. thanks again for the input! Diesel2NR 06-13-2004, 09:50 PM It's all a learning experience man. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
