got in my car this morning and when i pulled out of the driveway it ran that butt...10 feet later the SES light started blinking and the outside of my car smells like gas now. Im thinking something to do with a plug or wire...any input would help! i dont have a scan tool

Does it run? If so, check under the car and under the hood to make sure you aren't leaking fuel.....don't want to run it or drive it if you're leaking. Fuel fires are a bitch!

If it runs and nothing is leaking, take it to AutoZone (a.k.a. UhOhZone, a.k.a. AutoStoned). They have a scan tool and they'll check the code for free.

well instead of taking it to the zone i decided to change the plugs because it hadnt been running its best lately...so i changed the plugs and found on cracked on the porcelain so this was the culprit. I got autolite's this time around but last time i changed them i put in bosch platinum 2's. what do you guys suggest?? the guy there tryed to sell me plugs that were like 6 bucks a piece called iridium or something because they were "factory plugs" but i didnt believe him either. what comes in the car from the factory?

Iridium plugs are outstanding, if not a little pricey.

I don't know it the factory Iridiums are the same as the aftermarket, but only one company makes them, as far as I know.

I run them on a 3.8 Thunderbird that pushes a little over 16PSI.

ACDelco and NGK also make Iridium plugs and thats what comes stock in our cars now, from the factory.
