I have a 1989 towncar, signature, with a sagging front end, does anyone know how easy, or difficult it would be, to replace the front coil springs?

I would leave that to a professional.

They are very dangerous to work on. They have alot of force. My friends father used to work in a shop and one of the techs did not have the spring compressor on right, the next thing they know it broke free and went into a concrete wall! And in another circumstance it went right through the fender.

The Springs are cheap but the labor will be more. If you decide to do it your self you need a lift and some special tools.

As I said before I would seriously leave it to a professional IMHO.

I completely agree with ltdltc, if you're not experienced with these huge springs, stay away from 'em. Even if you are, caution !!
