For all u old farts who say that the new GTO looks to much like a grand am!RedLightning 06-10-2004, 04:10 PM LTJGWorth 06-29-2004, 11:20 AM You want to know what the new gto really looks like? It looks like a Holden Monaro. And for those of you who do not know who or what Holden is, its an Australian car maker owned by GM. Holden has been making their Monaros for a few years now. The Pontiac GTO and the Holden Monaro are the exact same car with the exception the the grill, emblem on the front and side and maybe a couple inside the car. Other then that, they are run by the same engine, under the same chassis, with the same suspension http://www.usmotors.cz/old/images/pontiac/04_pontiac_gto/04_holden_monaro_01.jpg RedLightning 06-29-2004, 11:30 AM NOOOOOOOOO....really?! lol :smooch: i actually like the monaro better. JoeJoe231455 09-11-2004, 11:12 PM The LS1 option in Aussie land also comes with less power. I'm no old fart, but I think the new GTO looks more like a Cavalier. Alot of people must agree, considering they sold less than 3,800 in the first six months (read in new Car & Driver) and Pontiac has a new ad campaign offering big incentives on leasing and purchasing them. The front-end is just WAY TOO PLAIN for a 350 hp muscle car. The rear-end looks a little soggy too. DGB454 09-30-2004, 03:20 PM Well reguardless of what they look like and whether I like them or not it looks like we are a new owner of one. I let my wife pick out what she wanted and that's what she brought home. It's bright yellow. It actually drives really good. The interior is set up nice. Much better than the T/A she traded in. Anyway we are GTO owners so I will be looking in on this part of the forum from time to time instead of just sticking to the Chevy Forum. 86TATpi 10-01-2004, 01:03 PM Does anyone subscribe to Pontiac Enthusiast? They have the new one dedicated to the GTO. There are a few pics of the new ones with new front ends and new hood. They're at least starting to make them look better. And next year they're supposed to have the LS2 in them. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
