i have a 93 gt that the tranny is going out in and i need to know if i can take the tranny out of a 96 se and put it in my 93gt.i also need to if not are there any other trannys that will fit into the 93 without a lot of extra hassle? Please help out no one seems to know the answer.

the 93 PSE tranny won't fit. They bolt pattern is different. You can get a tranny from any of the following tho':

'93-'97 Probe GT
'93-'97 Mazda MX6 LS (v6) (the final drive is a bit taller 4.11:1 vs the other trannies which are 4.39:1)
'92+ Mazda MX3 (v6)
'93-'97 Mazda 626 ES (v6)
