Fuel Leak

:banghead: Six months ago the check engine light came on and it was discovered that the vehicle had a fuel leak. In the interum between the light coming on and my attempts to remedy with dealer suggestions, I fainted outside the vehicle. The ER doctor examining me submitted that fact that I fainted to DMV. Six months later, DMV revoked my license without notice. The DMV letter contained a box checked for reason for suspension/revocation as "Your ability to operate a motor vehicle is affected because of a disorder characterized by lapses of consciousness or control." Many calls to DMV and $500 in attorney fees later, I was scheduled for a one hour recorded interview and then a vision test, drivers test, etc. I have passed all, my license is reinstated, but every six months I must undergo these tests, medical examination, and a possible interview with DMV. I love my Aztek, but it is back in the shop again for nearly two weeks and $2500 more in work. GMC dealer has contacted GMC for possible solution to problem that replacing parts cannot resolve. The rental cars have been at no cost to me, but now I have great concerns about the safety of my loved vehicle. I understand that my fainting was a result of a four hour drive with the windows up and air conditioner on with a fuel leak emitting fumes into the cab. However, now I learn that my sensor controls were non-functional again, and again replaced. There is no guarantee this event will not happen again. Anyone else have this problem? Is this an Aztek problem? My vehicle is a 2002, has this happen in other year models? :banghead:

Come on over to www.aztekfanclub.com and post your question. We've had more than 1 incident of fuel leakage and the more we can document it the better off we are.
