Window TintingRADMANX 06-06-2004, 05:07 PM I went to the local Auto sports store called Street Toys yesterday. They wanted $250-300 to tint my back window and those little side/back windows. They said it was really hard to tint an eclipse because of the odd shape of the back window. They said they use the highest quality tint called like "fumar" or something, and it has a lifetime guarantee. Think it's a good price??? ashah000 06-06-2004, 05:13 PM Well the lifetime guarantee is tempting.. I have seen a lot of rear windows bubbled up. But I got a quote for my rear, driver and passenger windows and the sunroof all at 5% for 150. But I dont know if it had a guarantee or not. There is another place here that will take the tints off and put them back on for free if you buy that "insurance" so incase you get a ticket you can take it off.. get out of the ticket and then put it back on. Talon69 06-06-2004, 08:15 PM The hell with that, i tinted my back window and 2 little windows myself with 2.5% tint and the 2 other windows with 20%. No bubbles at all never is usually when i do it. Matter in fact i have tinted all my friends windows on there cars also. To bad you were not in my area cuz for a fellow dsm owner real cheap!!! But $300 is crazy if you ask me!!! Eric guitarXgeek 06-06-2004, 08:16 PM The place near me will tint my sides, rear, and sunroof to 5% of any color for $135 w/ a lifetime warranty. real_madridcf 06-06-2004, 08:50 PM I got my back, drive and passenger for about 110 w/ a warranty. RADMANX 06-08-2004, 07:05 PM Thanks for the replies, i am going to check out some other places duckydsp 06-08-2004, 07:38 PM If you lived in CT, I would tell you to go to my neighbor who will do it for $30. GTPSPEED 06-09-2004, 11:39 AM wow,i did mine myself, and on all my last cars i did it too,its mad easy it take a little while but mine never bubbled up,the back one is kinda hard cuz you have to cut it into strips but the drivers side and passenger side are both easy took me 25 min for those side ones,so my advise is do it yourself, imo FourG63 97GST 06-09-2004, 06:21 PM wow that alot, average here is 150ish I still think thats too much just for tint i'm goin to the "other side of town" and get it done for $60 98GSX 06-09-2004, 09:06 PM i got 35+limo on the back... and limo in the front----185 hkdl 06-10-2004, 09:30 AM Whats the best way to remove the tint?
