Does anyone know of any diagrams of the rear suspension system for 1998 Grand Prix GTP? I think my car has a broken sway bar arm going to my left rear tire, but I would like to make sure before I take it to the dealership. Also, would it be wise to drive my car very far with this broken?

i dont know about the diagram but driving with a sway bar...if it's only a sway bar...broken isnt a big deal...my friend had a broked sway bar and it just rattled a little, kinda annoying but not a big deal...only thing that it really does is help handeling, just dont go too crazy, drive normal...if you push it to the point you used to you might lose the back end and spin out...well, thats about it from me...

Dont really need a diagram. Jack up the car and remove the rear tires. The sway bar has 4 mounting points. The bar is attached to 2 spots on the body and to each strut. Its the easiest sway bar of the two to inspect or replace.

a broken sway bar is a big enough deal. you should replace that
youll feel it when you corner

PS............. its not really dangerous to drive w/o one, as long as you get used to the lack of control. all the sway bar does is stabalize your chasis and frame when you corner, so that all four tires maintain better traction with the road, but its not like the car wont turn w/o one
