I found a '92 318i in my area for sale. It has 150k miles on it, and the owner says he has all the records for it. I want to go take a look at it some time this week. However, I can't really find a whole lot of info about them on the net. Where can I find the specs for it, any common problems they have, an faq, etc. ? Anyone here own one, and have any input?

Oh, and one more question. I know this has been done to death before, but what kind of acceleration can I expect from this thing? I probably won't be able to get out and look at it until later this week. I'm not looking for a drag racer, but I don't want to be left behind at stoplights, either.

they're a respectable little 4 cyl., a little raspy but will get you away quickly enough [ no racecar ] just be sure EVERYTHING works, it's 'BANG" over bumps, etc.. and they'll run a long-long time.

I'm going to look at it tomorrow afternoon probably. Here's the ad for it: http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?rdpage=thumb&car_id=164355169&dealer_id=&car_year=1992&make=BMW&distance=200&max_price=4000&model=&advcd_on=n&end_year=2005&min_price=&first_record=26&certified=n&address=43515&search_type=used&advanced=n&start_year=1984&=&color=&cardist=64
