Vafc VoltagePlasmex 06-05-2004, 03:40 AM Ive got a VAFC II on my civic and I need to put a new battery in it, I have manual dyno tuned settings on my VAFC II right now, does anyone know if I take out my battery if I will lose my programed fuel settings? or does the VAFCII have the ability to not lose its information, because of loss of power? Plasmex 06-07-2004, 01:17 AM anyone have any idea? boosted k20 06-07-2004, 05:08 PM well i have the S-AFC, not the VAFCII or S_AFCII. i took the power off from my car by removing the battery cables and the settings were still the same. also, i had baught the SAFC from one of my friends and when i installed it in my car, his settings were still saved on the SAFC. i dont think the SAFC or VAFC has voltiale memory. it keeps the settings the same even if the power is turned off. if your still worried, just jot the settings down on a peice a paper and if they do get erased, u'll still have the your settings available! Plasmex 06-07-2004, 08:06 PM I answered my own question, So that everyone Knows... the Apexi VAFC has EPROM memory and it will not lose what is stored when the power is lost, or the battery is disconnected. I contacted APEXI by phone. that is the information that they gave me. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
