I've got a ls in my 99 civic ex, I'm wanting to put a 99-00 b16 head for an lsvtec setup. I've got to replace the wiring harness, will I be able to use the SI harness in my EX?

HAHA i find it funny that you come to the civic board talking shit when all you have is a 440 6pack..... Our cars are easily putting down more Horses than your Brick on wheels ask around and look to see how fast some of our cars are running...... And wait dare you say all imports are slow all my friends own DSMs beside one that has a WRX the Subbie runs 14s all day but the DSMs run High 12s low 13s....
Explain to me why it takes 440 Cubic Inches to make power???

I should have my Brother come stomp you in his Civic Hatch that has turbo GSR motor... O by the way it puts 237hp to the wheels in car that weighs half of yours it runs really low 13s 13.03 @ 104.2MPH

Oh yea run the SI ecu

get a complete head with the wiring harness and the ecu. everything plugs in. you are gonna have to add a knock sensor though. i suggest changin the pistons to some higher compression pistons. type r oil pump. i mean theres some things here and there that i suggest changing. anyway u see my name (ls/vtec) so ask away, i already built a ls/vtec so i know what i talk about

i suggest with the ls vtec, you change the pistons and the rods, the rods are the part that let a motor rev high, and with a b16 head your gonna want to rev the shit out of it.
as for the dumbass and his plastic comment, i bet my plastic car can eat your piece. i had some tool last night run his mouth to me about how shitty and slow a civic will ALWAYS be, so i raced him without nitrous in his camaro, and walked him very easliy, 1/4 mile stile race i was almost 4 1/2 car lengths up and still pulling away. fuck your little mullet bango playing ass.

I was seriously considering the ls/vtec swap for this summer. unfortunately, my funds have suffered some serious blows. The b18b is a great motor to boost, but if you're using the b16 head, make sure the lower end can handle the output of the vtec head. i've seen people blow ls motors over and over again because they think you can just snap it on and drive it...good luck with your car!

hence i suggest rods, thats the weak link in a high revving b18b, the crank is unbreakable, the pistions should be fine for the basic setup, rods jsut seem to be weak
