All right i have some extra cash layin around and was wondering if it would be cheaper to go with the dsmlink since i have a laptop already...instead of going with the SAFC-II...because for that i still need to get a palm pilot and the datalogging software. Is it worth it? or better to go with the dsmlink

well pocketlogger and the AFC will do you just fine but it depends on whether you want to have your laptop in your car at all times! with the AFC you have the screen right in front of you which is very helpful! and a palm pilot isnt that big so theres another pro to the pocketlogger! its really up to you... if your planning on goin strip/track more than street i would get DSMlink... other than that for the street i think the AFC and logger works great, thats all i have in the RST!

the only bitch about dsmlink is that you need a eprom ecu. provided you have that, everything is easy and good to go.

I'd go with dsmlink. It's more vesatile and you don't need the laptop in the car at all times, just to change things or datalog. If you already have a laptop it's cheaper too.

DSmlink all the way, especially if you have an EPROM ecu. Judging by your bumper you have a 95-96, so theres a 50/50 chance you have one (95s have them). An AFC and pocket logger is the same price as DSMlink, but having to pay ~250 for an ECU makes it a tougher choice. If you ask me its still the way to go, at any cost. But everyones needs and goals are different....
