ok guys, the deadline for sending in footage for the movie will be september 30. you can start sending in what you have whenever you get some filiming, i'm hoping everyone who said they would be involved steps up without waiting till the last minute and send in footage.

Like if you were to walk through a car show and get some shots, or film a couple people out doing burnouts or doughnuts. ahh, gotcha. how about only amateur footage? i believe thats a good idea. aslong as we follow that guideline i believe that more people can relate.

meaning, people can see what we really go through to get our cars to do these specific tasks or accomplish these goals at hand. i believe any endorsements would be considered cheating.

I'll burn it as a DVD and sell it for a small amount (below $5). People who contribute good footage that I use can have a free copy. ;) I hope you guys are getting a lot of footage

Here's an idea, how bout we do this as a mailing list? Everyone who's interested give me your email, and any time I post new info I'll also send it out as an eMail to make sure we keep everyone updated. I'll also include my address and stuff in the emails so everyone doesn't have to keep PM'img me for it. If you want to be on the list, either post your email address here, send me a PM with it, or just email me jason@arimport.com and include "mailing list" in the subject line.

I could also use suggestions on which members anyone would like to see included as a "featured car". And just so you know, we may have to extend the deadline so I have time to travel and film these cars.

In order to get these on film I will probably be driving to Southern California, Pennsylania, Illinois, and Texas. I would really like to do some "special" filming at each place in addition to simply filming the feature cars and local races, but I need people and cars to do that. I would also greatly appreciate if some locals from each place would help me to find the best spots to film and where people meet up.

fallenprnce is in with his S2000 and Skyline for feature cars! I think we should have enough feature cars now.

The sooner you can get me footage the sooner I can get to organizing it, but I won't NEED it till I'm done traveling and filmingall these feature cars. Gotta plan time for me and my "film crew" to get away from college for a few days at a timeto travel and do this. Sorry guys if this takes a while, but it will be worth it! No quality movie is created start to finish over a period of a couple weeks.

I have a '69 mustang... but it doesnt have a motor yet :). I'm hopin to get it done by mid september though.

Yeah I am currently doing all the fabrication work. Unfortunately I have to go back to college in a couple weeks, so I may not have it done in time, but I'll do my best. Right now I have to finish the intake manifold, build the headers, downpipes, rebuild the motor and drop it in, install a new fuel pump, fabricate rails for the injectors, have the turbos rebuilt, fabricate the rest of the air-water intercooler system.. The interior needs some work, but that can wait. 2 weeks is a little tight, but I can also come home from college on the weekends, so I should do alright. I'll keep you posted.

The current plan:

Catch SuperStreet Tour in Jackson, MS on Fri, SEP 17. Cruise along to Atlanta, GA filming with them, then head up to Reading, PA overnight to get the feature footage of JekylandHyde's MR2 at a hill climb event on Sat. Whenever I'm done filming there for the day, I'll be free to go somewhere to film for the rest of the night if anyone is up for it. Somewhere with some good scenery, maybe DC, or VA Beach, or...? Anyone in the vicinity tell me where I'm likely to get the best Saturday night footage?

Well, the tires I have on it right now are a mere 8 inches wide and 26 inches tall, way too small for the new motor... so yeah, I was planning on burning them up anyways, why not videotape it?

I've got a guy hooking me up with press passes to a bunch of car shows coming up, and I'm gonna take advantage of it and use the footage in the movie.

Intake is comming in today, Im gonna see if my buddy with a digi cam can get some vid clips for me. Maybe a few of the car too (finally). This video though, are we talking like, GIS and Mischeif serries, like on DVDs and such? Or is it just gonna be downloadable?

:1: Not telling you how to run the video, but you might want to start compiling footage (if you have enough), and add a few more things in over a few months. Atleast you'd know where to put certain footage.
