Fuel Cuts OffLBIguy 06-03-2004, 08:07 AM Hi, My car was put up for 3 or 4 months and when i started her she would run good at first but after driving it for about 10 minutes the fuel supply got choppy. then first 3 gears were alright but when I put it in 4th gear and give it more gas the car would buckle. I brought the car to the garauge and they replaced the fuel pump, Ignitor and fuel filter and the car is still the same way. I was told to replace the computer in the car because it had rust built around it. Could that be the problem? I'm out of ideas on what it could be. jameskersten 06-03-2004, 10:07 AM did you remove teh old fuel and get new stuff yet? i would start there, gas goes bad after time. LBIguy 06-03-2004, 10:18 AM yes i replaced the old gas with new and i put injector cleaner in with the gas. Still nothing snowman2005 06-03-2004, 11:06 AM fuel filter, mayb some old fuel kinda messed that up LBIguy 06-03-2004, 11:18 AM the old fuel was took out and new was put in and then the fuel filter was put on so only new gas was ran through it jcrx 06-03-2004, 04:25 PM Try replacing your plugs. LBIguy 06-03-2004, 05:36 PM We tested the plugs and there's plenty of spark....It seems like the car just don't want to burn the gas....after having the car goin for about 10 minutes and then shuttin it off it won't start anymore until an hour or so later. After having the car running for about 10 minutes it won't start anymore so the plugs were checked and they were dry. It don't make sense vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
