Hi, I was jsut wondering if anyone could help me. In my 1995 avalon the 12 disc cd changer keeps loading the discs in over and over again. When the cd actually starts playing in the car it only plays for a few seconds before it stops and begins to reload all the cds again. Does anybody else have this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

yes that means the gas in the laser no longer functioning and you need another changer or that one fixed. it worked for almost 10 years which isnt bad . new changers today lucky to work a year or 2.

I have a similar problem with my 1996 12-cd changer.
It tries to load cd's, but almost always (lately 99% of the time) ends up displaying ERROR.
The local Toyota dealer refered me to a store, who weren't interested - said it couldn't be fixed and no other system would fit without a lot of re-wiring.
I would like to either get the cd changer working (but where do I go), or get a new CD player (I also hate a trunk changer - I'm impulsive) but I don't want to lose the sub-woofer etc.
Any recomendations?
The car is also due to pass 100,000 miles this month, so I don't want to spend a fortune, however a radio/CD with USB port would be nice!
