Vinyl Decal Bluesmikebabcoc316 01-21-2002, 12:57 AM Hello, I just got some Vinyl Honda Decals for my Accord Windshield. Living in Cleveland, it is pretty cold this time of year and my decals are not sticking very well. Is there something that you would reccamend me doing to get then to stay and not start to peel off? I was thinking about taking an Iron and an old bed sheet and putting the sheet over the decals, and then using the iron to try and get then to stick? Should I just get new decals? Thanks for any info! Mike StealthSonic 01-21-2002, 03:28 AM Try waming up your decal by using hairdryer. They usually turn soft and sticky. Make sure the sticky part is clean and the windshield is warm before apply... Vinyl usually for 1 time use... but if u carefully peel them off i guess u still have a chance to reapply it. Also u can take any vinyl off you car by using hairdryer. very easy. drift 01-21-2002, 05:20 AM warm up the windshield by running your heater on defrost full blast, then lay the decal on the windshield when the window is warm to the touch. dont peel off the backing until the vinyl has stuck... just put it on, leave the car's heater running, then come back out in 10 minutes to remove the backing. or just wait until summer. i dont think the vinyl decal is going to effect performance, so there's no real rush to install it.
