Im Having Problems With My Engine Searching For Idle. It Idles Ok When Cold, But After A Few Seconds The Idle Drops Off And Surges.this Started After Installing A Throttle Body Spacer, Cold Air Intake, Cat Test Pipe, And Muffler. To Remedy The Situation I Have Adjusted The Throttle Cable To Make Sure Theres Enough Slack, Checked For Vacume Leaks By Spraying Wd-40 In The Area, Changed The Air/idle Mixture Valve (not It),
Changed The Fast Idle Valve (not It), Took The Throttle Body Spacer Off And It Still Searches For Idle. Can Anyone Out There Help Me?

YES, E HONDA, I CAN SAY THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR. I FORGOT TO MENTION THAT MY MECHANIC CHECKED THAT PART, AND THAT WASNT IT. WHAT WAS CAUSING ALL THE PROBLEMS WAS THE IDLE ADJUSTMENT SCREW. I DIDNT TOUCH IT, I DONT HAVE A WRENCH TO FIT IT, SO WE DIDNT EVEN CONSIDER THAT. I TALKED TO THE GUY I BOUGHT THE CAR FROM, AND HE MENTIONED THAT THESE ENGINES ARE SUPPOSED TO IDLE AT A CERTAIN RPM, OR IT WILL CAUSE THAT PROBLEM. AS SOON AS MY MECHANIC CRACKED THE NUT ON THE SCREW, THE SURGING STOPPED. I WAS BOTH HAPPY AND PISSED,THAT IT WAS SOMETHING SO SIMPLE. MY MECHANIC ONLY CHARGED ME $30. WHICH I THINK IS VERY REASONABLE, CONSIDERING THAT I HAD IT TO HIM 4 TIMES, PUTTING NEW PARTS ON AND TAKING THEM OFF AND REPLACING MY OLD ONES. THE CAR IDLES FINE NOW, RUNS GREAT, BUT A LITTLE LESS MPG BECAUSE OF THE BOLT ONS. IM HAPPY FOR NOW.
