i was goin to my best friends goin away party after work at around 2 a.m. i was waiting for my friends to catch up to me, so i was at the middle lane. then i see these headlights and i see a white S13 hatch back zoom passed me. now i'm tempted to follow him to see what kind of engine he has. so i speed up to get a closer look. i noticed that he had no gauges, lowered, and a big exhuast. to my surprise the car was extremely quiet. before i can get closer, the guy obviously sees me, and floors it.

i was around 4 cars behind him when he floored it. i was goin around 80mphs so i downshifted to 4th and i reeled him in. it wasn't as fast as i thought i would because i was almost doing 110-115mph before i was really close to him. and now i'm thinking, he probrably have a SR. so when the traffic clears up again, he decides to floor it again. i downshifted to 4th at 80 mph again and once again i reeled him in. this time i caught up alittle faster. after that he got off the highway.

now i'm not sure if that was a turbo 240 or not becasue he didn't have gauges. and i couldn't tell if he had a front mount intercooler because i never got in front of him, and its almost impossible to look for it even if i did get in front becuase its dark outside.

however there are a few signs that he was turbo. his car was quiet as hell. everyone who owns a 240 will know that the KA is freaking loud if you don't have a turbo. when i was following my friend's 97 model. i could hear his exhuast from 10 cars back and he was just cruising. also all 240 owners know that non turbo KA's falls on their face at 3rd gear and up. my friends 97 have a light weight fly wheel, alumium drive shaft, headers, intake, exhuast, no cats, UR pulleys, and a JWT ecu, and when i drove it, his 0-60 felt quick, but once we shift to 3rd, his car fell on its face. also i've raced another 240 with a SR before. it was a S14 with a S14 motor with bolt ons, and i took him on the highend. this was before i was tuned. so i'm around 75% sure that was a SR 240 that i've beaten. because if it was a KA he should've been bus lenghts back.

well nice kill.. hiway racing is fun.. did you hear a blow off or anything? and the whole exhaut thing may not mean its turbo or not he can have a big resnator in it my boy has a civic with 2.5" exhaust and a big 3" cherry bomb resinator and his car is quiet even at hi rpmz..
well i know of on sr20det powered 89ish 240 around here, its a jamaican guy that owns it.. its a gold rps13 shape, looks stock with a big exhaust an apex-i n1 i belive and in the front there is a nice little fmic behind the bumper, its gold.. they is also another on my frind knows about, its a real s-13 rhd silvia.. imported from japan. a guyanese guy owns it, its real jdm tho..

keep in mind that you *couldn't see* the gauges he's got, if he has any...
or he's got an afc, or other non-visible-from-passing-cars gauges.

yeah i was really tryin to look for his gauges. but i remember that i know a few SR guys ( like 3 to be exact ) who don't got gauges at all in their cars. and one of them has the gauges on the dash. does my nismo have gauges in his car fly?
