Check your spark plugs , the wires and the contact points( dirt)

Minor tune-up might fix da problem.

I would replace the sparkplugs and wires first to see if it will work.

My guess is that the spining thing that shot sparks to the cable (dunno the name) into the sparkplugs in the engine is not working.. may require to replace it. It's not expensive, but would require some professional to get it done right...

4gen accords had common problem of igniter module failer. symptom maching exacly as you descirbed, engine turning but doesn't start.

module cost around $60, so i would check spark plugs, distrubitor cap & rotor, wires, fuel delevery and e.t.c. before you buy new module.

Before you replace the ignitor module and the price seems reasonable. Try disconnecting the wire from the coil to the top rotor and check for spark there. I replaced my coil last year for about $75.00 at Car Quest Auto Parts. Honda was slightly higher. It reasonable to think that this is the problem to me b/c a Parts Manager for Honda once told me this part goes out alot on older models that have been modified. :)

If you have an internal coil the same principle applies. No spark, No start.

First 2004 winter start up, and my honda turned over but didn't start.

>checked fuel pump, ok
>checked fuel flow, ok
>changed ICM - it was fine,
>'check engine' light was on, so was computer had power
>had spark,
>battery was ok.

Real puzzle.....Mechanic friend asked about quality of plugs...so changed Bosch platinum back to old NKG platinum plugs from last year which I still had on hand and she fired up as usual. Ahhhhhh, lesson learnt.
