Changed motor and now no spark '87 Sentracarnuck 05-28-2004, 03:11 PM I bought the Chilton's and it only has 1/2 the wiring diagrams needed (it doesn't even show the dist or coil! How useless is that?) www.books4cars.com only had '86 (which doesn't have the ECC carb system) and '87 (fuel injected) factory manuals. I wanted to find the resistance values and the wiring from dist to coil. Since I put the motor in, it wouldn't crank on it's own (I checked the neutral safety switch, which was fine and I currently have the inhibitor bypassed at the relay to make it crank with the key) Someone before me swapped the coil and module but that made no difference (the other car quit running too, but it was assumed a blown headgasket too) and the distirbutor was stolen from the other parts car. If I could find the diagram on the net someplace, then I'd be able to figure this out. I don't know if it's related to the ECC (electronic carb control) system or what and the owner of the car is driving me NUTS! vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
