is that the flying saucer looking thing just under the air cleaner? 2 bolts looks easy to change can you walk me thru it cause I'm a girl and we don't know a whole lot, do I need gasket sealer, is it hard to pull the 2 hoses off?

2 bolts? You're probably not looking at the air cleaner. Any chance you could get us a picture?

I used a piece of coat hanger wire to brake through the carbon buildup, spraying with carburetor cleaner along the way. No need for a new value, unless you know the old one doesn't work, but you still have to get the carbon out of the throttle body. It will take a little work, but you can get the passages, as well as the value itself, cleaned out.

took it out and still heard that scraping sound underneath, could be a hole in the exhaust somewhere, I had to piece the exhaust pipe to the converter, a shade tree mechanic cut off the flange of the converter so when I replaced the exhaust and muffler it had to be pieced, maybe it's a converter or 02 sensor problem. I guess I'll have to take it in to find out, where do I get the best price on either of these?
