Shop accessories (lifts, jacks, creepers, tools, etc.)termiflyer 05-26-2004, 09:36 AM I was hoping to get some advice about good places, online or off, to purchase shop accessories like lifts, jacks, creepers, tools .... I am familiar with Northern Tool, Harbor Frieght, Sears, but thought some people with more experience might have some better thoughts. Thanks. Doug Rodrigues 05-26-2004, 12:12 PM You'd be better off just going to the tool store. By the time you end up paying the freight on mail ordered items, you won't have saved much of anything. Also, if you had a problem with the mail ordered item, you'd have to pack it up and send it back to the seller. Even more freight charge to do that because they'll bill you for the freight to return it to you too! termiflyer 05-26-2004, 12:25 PM Good point. Maybe Sears is my best bet. The local auto parts stores lack in selection for these types of things, and I have had quality issues with your Auto Zone type stores in the past. ghostguy6 05-26-2004, 02:37 PM go Snap On if you got the cash! they deliver right to your door! all you do is call and there they are. yes the tools are a little pricy but i find that they far outlast most if not all other brands. Mac is ok but not the best. Mac has warranty issues, they are really picky. With Snap On I had no problem replacing a tool even though I had baddly abused it( chrome 3/8 drive socket on a 1/2 drive impact with a reducer set on full torque, you do the math) All i had to do was show them it was broken and i got a new on free of charge! Now that I think about it, I never did get my Mac ratchet back its been almost 4 months!! and they claimed it would be under warranty(cries) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
