Anybody lowered with Vogtland?

hey guys

just wondering if anybody has tried these and what they thought. These on ebay are a hall of a lot less than the Eibach, B+G, or the Spring Tech jobs. Basically, I want a handling improvement, but I do not want to look "slammed", and I do not want to be bouncing around on every little road imperfection over 60 mph (which is a hard speed to be under in a GP :naughty:) also, would the PFYC.com camber kit be better or the shox.com one (tilted wheels look SO bad...) thanks for your time and wisdom!

Vogtland springs are made in Germany and they also make the springs for the GMPP koni kit.I do not know anyone that is using those and even at Clubgp the question has been asked but no one has tried them yet.If I were to chose springs and from what ive read about Vogtland Id buy them as they sound like a quailty spring.Ive got the GMPP koni kit and have been very happy with that set-up...~Larry~

Vogtland springs are 100% German made. Vogtland meets the high German product standards of TUV, ISO 9001 (DQS), VDFI, IQNET certified management system and VDAT (Society of German Automobile Tuners). When a vehicle is equipped with Vogtland performance lowering springs there are several elements that improve the overall handling. Vogtland lowering is designed to take advantage of the existing suspension geometry to optimize the relationship of the roll center axis relative to the center of gravity of the vehicle.

Vogtland’s ICS (Inertia Control System) technology is utilized to provide a non-compromising performance ride. By utilizing “compound rate” springs the unsprung mass of the vehicle is controlled and the inertia of the suspension components do not exceed the springs’ capacity to control the jounce loads, hence eliminating the requirement for excessive spring rates. The initial rate is designed to provide the O.E. spring pre-load when the suspension is at full rebound. When the suspension is functioning in its normal operating range the springs “compound rate” provides a controlled performance ride but offers enough compliance to maintain occupancy comfort.

The working range of the spring provides for predictable linear rate increase during the compression stroke. This eliminates unpredictable handling characteristics (i.e. corner entry understeer and corner exit oversteer) normally associated with a progressive spring. Vogtland’s optimized spring calibration also reduces the pitch of the vehicle under heavy acceleration or braking. The increased rate of the springs reduce the load transfer to the front tires during heavy braking. This reduces the longitudinal pitch of the vehicle, resulting in improved overall braking efficiency.

The proportionate increase in spring rate also reduces body roll, which limits adverse suspension movement. This confines the suspension geometry to stay within parameters that enhance the tires contact patch relative to the road. The result is improved vehicle cornering and handling, because front and rear tire loading is more evenly distributed. Therefore, higher cornering limits can be achieved because the built-in understeer characteristics are reduced and provide for a more neutral yet safe handling vehicle.

These springs are manufactured utilizing Vogtland’s proprietary suspension grade “VVS” spring alloy. Vogtland uses a thinner wire diameter for their springs which intern helps them oscilate at a higher rate. The thinner diameter wire accounts for the decrease in spring weight. Vogtland’s VVS alloy is used exclusively in all our applications. Vogtland’s racing springs are used by all the Nascar Teams, including most of the Winston Cup Teams, as well as many Formula 1 Teams. By using “VVS” alloy spring weight is reduced up to 30% over conventional suspension spring materials. This results in reduced unsprung weight and reduces the suspension inertia allowing the suspension to react more quickly to road surface irregularities, hence providing additional traction.

Vogtland springs are produced using special oil tempered spring steels of high tensile strength chrome-silicon and chrome-silicon-vanadium alloys using the cold coiling process. This achieves low spring weight with high material strength, and the desired effect of uniformly reducing the unsprung weight of the vehicle-thereby optimizing the handling characteristics.

i would love to lower my 95 grand prix SE
but i dont want it to look dumb, i still have stock rims, they are painted white too...i think im going to take a picture and photoshop it and see what things start looking like...well, we will see, actually i think im going to do that right now...well if anyone can recomment a real mild lowering kit...something like 1-2 inches or so...i think it's already pretty good but you see them cars around that look real nice being so low...well thanks

those rims look similar to mine but mine are painted white from the factory, i think they look gay white, i think i might get some paint remover and try and get em clean...then i can polish em up...i think they would look nice...well ill try something...by the way, how low is that, like how much lower then stock, i think i would like mine maybe a little lower then that though...although that pic looks photoshopped....well whatever man, i got pics of my car, just gotta get em up

Background was blurred but trust me the car is that low. Plus, you wont want to go lower then that. The front wheels just clear the fender when turned and I bottom out on speedbumps.
