I was on my way home tonight on Airport road which runs next to boeing. It was dead, as it usually is at night. I'm goin about 5 over the speed limit and see some headlights approaching. When it get's closer I see it's a prelude...it looked stock except for some 18" rims. He passes me slowly but surely and glances over while his left hand is in the 12 o'clock position on his steering wheel. I get behind him because that is the way I needed to go to get home. We take the corner and I drop a gear, switch lanes, and get around him. He then switches lanes and gets around the minivan in front on him and we are in the clear for a little bit until we reach some pretty sharp s-type curves. He's behind me and drops it to try and pass me. I see this and drop a gear too. He pulls a little bit (he dropped first), about up to my rear quarter panel but then I gain my ground back. I'm about a car and a half ahead of him and we kill it because the light before the s-curves is red. I was excited until I realized the light was about to turn green. So i was stuck right inbetween 1st and 2nd gear. I throw on the breaks and get it into 1st gear right before the light turns green. I spin the tires through 1st gear and then shift to 2nd. He is about 2 cars ahead of me (he got a better start at the light) and then I start to pull pretty hard, by the end of 2nd gear I'm to his rear bumper and then by about 5k rpms in 3rd I'm not even half a car length behind. I cut it off at that point because that last thing I needed is to lose control in those corners and wreck my car. I didn't exactly win, but it was a fun run. He turned into his neighborhood after the curves and I threw the thumbs up out the window and he flashed his high beams.

Oops...I forgot to say it was the latest model prelude, the 1999 style.

hahah its just too funny. i'm sorry but i will never let anything do that to me. i might play iwth him at first then get serious and destroy is hope. but i would never just let him beat me for the hell of it. in a scenario like that, i would just rather not even bother wasting gas ( its 2.45 a gallon here in nyc for 93 octane!! )

well thats why i din't race him cause it was a waste of gas, when i was racing him(if thats what you wanna call it) i was just barely touching the gas, when i do that my turbo's spool up a little past 1 and i just cruise.
