BCM problem???

I have a vehicle (2001 Aztek) that has me really confused. At first the lights would stay on after I shut the vehicle off and I had to disconnect the ground to shut them off. Then the vehicle security light came on and the radio locked out. Now the daylight running lights do not stay on, they go on in the begining then they go out and the security light and check engine comes on. Also the A/C does not work, the windows do not work, the fog lights do not work and the light for them does not light up on the switch, nor does the rear defogger. I also have tried a headlight switch to resolve the fog lights, but to no avail. The automatic dimmer is working though because the DIC dims down in a tunnel. I had codes in the computer for no serial data (B1000). In the begining the radio would work every now and then, as did the headlights. I am at a loss, I suspect the Body Controll Module, but I am also thinking it may be in the security system. And last but not least, if I drive with the bright lights on, the security and check engine goes off. Oh and I have already done the intake gasket and see signs of the head gasket leaking and have the rattling noise on cold start up. Other than that, I love my vehicle. Has anyone else had any of these problems? For the techs out there, I hace an OTC not a tech to scan with. I also can not get into the OBD section. HELP!!!

I had the same problem with everything going off and on. I replaced the BCM and this fixed the problem. But now the radio is locked so I'm tring to find out how to unlock it.

I would think a BCM would cause most of your problems, but it can also be a wiring issue causing it.

You really need to take your car to the dealer and get it checked out.

BTW the dealers will sell you a new BCM but it needs to be set up properly, failure to set up the BCM will cause your radio not to work along with other options not working.
