You just like clayton county, put me on probation for shit I didn't do. zdude 05-25-2004, 11:29 PM SE JD, try reading the FAQ next time before asking. u said that sho, even i can see that, and im friggin tired Broke_as_**** 05-25-2004, 11:57 PM Easy way to tell if the car has LSD, if you can jack it up: Spin one of the rear tires by hand, if the other one spins opposite, it is an open dif. If it spins the same way, it is a LSD. You can find out if the car has LSD if you have the model number. From 240sx.org: Here is for the S14 (95-98) S14: Checking for LSD using Car's Model number Find the car's identification plate on the firewall, passenger side. Check digit 18 in the model # (not the VIN!). For Feb '94 - July '95: A, C, or E, = LSD F, or "-" = NO LSD For July '95 - July '96: A, C, or F = LSD B, D, or "-" = NO LSD Here is some more links that help with figuring out how you can get a LSD in your 240. http://www.240sx.org/links/installs/lsd2/index.htm http://www.240sx.org/links/installs/lsd/lsd.htm Jdm_180sx 05-27-2004, 12:29 AM does spinning the real wheels really work? can ne1 clarify that vsiev 05-27-2004, 12:41 AM the only way to be certain is to open your differential and look inside. What car do you have? it is isn't a 91-93 hatchback with super hicas, you don't have lsd. The 95+ was an option and if you have the 95+, try to wheel spinning test. Like he said, jack the rear end up. Spin one tire forward(towards the front) is the other wheel is spinning towards the front(both going in the same direction) then you have vlsd. If it doesn't spin or it spins the other way(the one you are spinning is going forward and the other wheel is spinning towards the rear) you have an open differential. Most likely you don't have vlsd cause people didnt' know what that was and didn't get it as an option. vsiev 05-27-2004, 12:45 AM wait you are the same person with that swapping coupe bumper onto a hatch....so if that is the case, YOU DON'T HAVE VLSD OR ANY LSD UNLESS SOMEONE INSTALLED IT(which i doubt)....YOU DON'T have a 91+ 240 so there is no point in checking.... Broke_as_**** 05-27-2004, 12:59 AM Well that solves that then...because I was wondering: Originally Posted by Broke_as_**** Spin one of the rear tires by hand, if the other one spins opposite, it is an open dif. If it spins the same way, it is a LSD. How do I clarify that any further? vsiev 05-27-2004, 11:28 AM maybe he didn't know that you were suppose to jack the car up to do the test.... nissanfanatic 05-27-2004, 05:36 PM maybe he didn't know that you were suppose to jack the car up to do the test.... I swear if he couldn't figure that out...... Future quote "Well it seems that I have a really good limited slip because neither tire would spin. Did any of them come in a limited slip awd?" biglistofmods 05-27-2004, 05:42 PM wait one damn minute my sephia never came with lsd vsiev 05-27-2004, 07:20 PM what?! what the hell you talking about a sephia for.... Jdm_180sx 05-27-2004, 09:11 PM hey vsiev have u ran the 1/4 mile before in your 240? im wondering what minor bolt ons do for a 240 vsiev 05-27-2004, 09:28 PM Nope I don't run 1/4 tiles....don't really care howfast my car can go as long as i can get it sideways. Right now i installed an injen intake, going to get my hotshot headers in and lsd. I been working more on suspension then power like strut bars, rear control arms, tie bars, etc. nissanfanatic 05-27-2004, 10:00 PM What did you pay for the Tien tie rods and traction arms? vsiev 05-27-2004, 11:25 PM 136 for the full set and haven't got the traction arms yet. If you mean control arms like 120 i believe.....been working my ass off as a clerk and going to school....40 hours a week and a full time student...it sucks ass. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
